Non-fiction criticism

My story was told to leave some detail out in order to let the reader interpret the scenes. I defended my original draft somewhat, perhaps in an ill-advised manner. I need to learn to be more receptive to criticism.

  1. Taking criticism is tough, isn't it, Dan? But remember that criticism isn't always negative, and negativity can create a roadblock to improving. So, as the poet says, treat it as the wheat. Keep the grain; blow away the chaff. Take what was you liked, implement the positive changes, and move ahead. We look forward to hearing what comes of your revisions.
